Scully Boatbuilders Sportfisher

Currently the Wise Flooring craftsmen are constructing an American cherry and maple floor to be used in a new 67’ Scully Boatbuilders Sportfisher. We cut templates out to fit the floor in the boat and then we bring the templates to the shop. Here you can see the floor being glued to a fiberglass skin. Once the glue dries the clamps are removed and we use the template to cut the floor into the proper shape. We will sand and apply finish to the floor in the shop and then install the floor in the boat. After the floor is installed we will apply two more finish coats.

Here you can see the final sanding of the Cherry and Maple floors that will be installed in the Scully Boat. Scott is applying the first coat of finish and after one more coat they will be ready to install. Once installed they will receive 2 more coats of Bona Traffic.
